Short Getaway

During the last CNY Holiday, my family and I decided to have a short vacation. The thing about us is that, we don't really like long-distance drive and we often ended up going to Malacca for a sweet escape. This time, we had to say 'no' to Malacca and 'hello' Kuala Lumpur! Yes, we decided to spend two nights in KL which is 40 minutes away from our home. To me, I don't really mind spending the holidays nearby just a long as I get to spend it with my family.

On the first day, we stayed at Intercontinental Hotel (previously it was Nikko Hotel) which is about 10 minutes walk from KLCC. It's so strategic as Ampang park and Avenue K is just a stone's throw away. The room is spacious and very comfortable. Not to mention the breakfast; an array of food to choose from and to savour. Hospitality wise, I would rate them 5 star because the staffs were friendly and accommodating.

On the second day, we checked out and stayed at Ritz-Carlton Bukit Bintang. The beautiful chandelier at the lobby greets you with a sense of romanticism like you are in a 20th century English aristocratic home. The room is beautifully decorated and super comfy. The hotel, that is attached to Starhill Gallery makes it easy for you to walk to Pavilion and to the main shopping street. The best part is that there is a butler for each floor! By pressing the 'butler button' on the phone, you can order juices and coffee (cappuccino, latte, white coffee, etc.) for free at any time! Cool right?

These are free!

We even got these!

This is how the breakfast is served.. (you can order as many as you want)

Trust me, those in Klang Valley should try this. Even if your house is nearby, try spending the night at a hotel; you're gonna get a different feel and a totally different experience.
